Privacy Policy

The Short Version

Your resume and job description text never leave your browser. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data. The ATS Resume Scanner runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No data is sent to any server.

What We Collect

Resume and job description text: Not collected. All scanning happens locally in your browser. When you close the tab, the text is gone. Nothing is saved, cached, or transmitted.

Payment information: If you purchase Match Mode or The Hired System, your payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVV. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy and PCI compliance. You can review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Analytics: We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic patterns like page views and visitor counts. This does not use cookies, does not track individual users, and does not collect personal information.

Cookies: We do not use cookies. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party cookies.

What We Do Not Do

We do not create user accounts. We do not require email addresses to use the scanner. We do not sell, share, or rent personal data to third parties. We do not use your resume text for training, research, or any purpose beyond displaying your scan results to you in your own browser.

Digital Product Purchases

When you purchase The Hired System or unlock Match Mode, Stripe processes your payment and provides you with access. We receive confirmation of your purchase from Stripe, which may include your name and email address for order fulfillment, customer support, and internal purchase notifications. We do not sell this information or use it for marketing. Purchase notifications may be received in our internal team communication tools (such as Slack) so we can respond to customer support requests and process refunds promptly.

Third-Party Services

Stripe: Payment processing. Their privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.

Slack: Internal team communication. We receive automated notifications from Stripe about purchases, refunds, and disputes through Slack so we can support customers and respond to issues. See Slack's privacy policy at slack.com/trust/privacy.

Cloudflare: Website hosting and delivery. Cloudflare may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of delivering the website. See Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Google Fonts: Fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may log requests. See Google's privacy policy for details.

Children's Privacy

HiredTools is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
